Kathy Grant graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (NYC) in 2000 attaining a Master of Science in Acupuncture. In addition, Kathy has been a registered nurse for the past 20 years.

In 1996, Kathy’s interest in complementary therapies was sparked by a debilitating injury that did not respond to Western medicine modalities. After experiencing relief from alternative medicine and being able to return to regular activities, she began to explore complementary therapies and the potential benefits for treating other conditions and wanted to add to her current knowledge of health care.

Chinese medicine addresses the interactive aspect of the human body and focuses on diagnosing and treating patterns, as opposed to seeing the body as separate entities.

Kathy’s practice incorporates Traditional Chinese Medicine style acupuncture and eastern nutritional concepts, which can be especially beneficial in treating many conditions such as allergy and menopausal symptoms. Acupuncture may also be beneficial in conditions such as: nerve or muscle pain, gastrointestinal disorders, ear, nose and throat disorders and respiratory disorders. Other Chinese medicine practices, such as Qi Gong, may be suggested to maximize the benefit of acupuncture treatments.
